Every photography tool on the internet promises to do everything. This one doesn't. Exhibition Tracker is deliberately narrow — a single-purpose app for salon photographers who want to keep a clean ledger of their acceptances and awards. It solves one specific pain very well; it doesn't try to solve the ten adjacent ones. This post lays out honestly what it is, what it isn't, and who it's for.
What is Exhibition Tracker?
Exhibition Tracker is a personal record-keeping app for photographers who enter photographic exhibitions. It supports two of the largest circuits:
- BPE — the British Photographic Exhibitions circuit (crown scheme).
- FIAP — the international FIAP-patronaged salon world (AFIAP, EFIAP, EFIAP levels, MFIAP).
For each, it maintains a per-image ledger of every entry, acceptance and award you earn — and exports that ledger in the exact formats each awarding body's application forms expect.

Who is it for?
Exhibition Tracker is built for the individual salon photographer — the person entering salons, receiving acceptance emails, and wanting to keep an accurate, application-ready record of everything they've earned.
If you're a UK camera-club member chasing BPE1★ this year, or an international photographer working toward EFIAP Silver across 25 countries, this app is for you.
Who is it not for?
Being clear about this saves everyone time:
- Salon organisers — Exhibition Tracker is not an exhibition-management tool. It doesn't collect photographer entries for your salon, host judging sessions, tabulate scores or produce catalogue reports. Tools like Photocontestpro serve that market well.
- Judges — there's no in-app scoring interface, printable score sheets or jury dashboard.
- Camera clubs looking for internal competition software — Exhibition Tracker is single-user, not a shared club instance.
If a future release adds any of those capabilities, we'll say so clearly — no vapourware in the meantime.
What can it do today?
Track BPE exhibitions
Add exhibitions from the official BPE list (Clay Cross, Southport, Vale of Evesham and the rest), log every acceptance per image, and watch your running BPE crown total build. Every image can carry a section, an award, and a "best image" flag that feeds the ranking engine.
Track FIAP salons
The FIAP dashboard is completely separate from BPE — a per-image ledger for every FIAP-patronaged salon you enter. The killer feature: paste a FIAP patronage number (yyyy/xxx) and the app fetches the salon name, country and official section list from the myfiap.net registry and pre-fills the new-row form for you.
Manage multiple sections per salon
Each accepted image is tagged with its section (Colour, Mono, Nature, Open, Travel, etc.). Both BPE and FIAP support built-in sections plus custom ones you add on the fly — useful for salons with non-standard section names.
Import your existing spreadsheet
Already have a CSV or Excel of your past acceptances? Upload it and Exhibition Tracker's importer will auto-detect columns, fuzzy-match exhibition names to the official BPE list, and skip duplicates so you don't lose anything. Handy when moving off a home-grown spreadsheet.
Export to Excel or CSV — in the right format
Three export modes are available:
- Export CSV — a flat CSV of every acceptance, ideal for opening in your own spreadsheet.
- Apply CSV / Excel — the per-acceptance format that BPE crown applications and FIAP distinction applications expect. Paste-and-submit.
- Summary Excel — a matrix view with exhibitions across the top and years down the side, so you can review your whole history at a glance.
Awards tracking
Log medals and honourable mentions per image (Gold, Silver, Bronze, HC, Selector, Ribbon or a custom label). Awards appear as badges in the ledger and feed into the ranking engine that surfaces your strongest images.
Acceptance reports at a glance
The Statistics view shows total acceptances, distinct salons, distinct countries, section distribution and top-ranked images — the exact figures you need when planning the next year's entry calendar or checking your progress toward the next crown or FIAP level.
Photographer records — your own
Exhibition Tracker stores your own photographic records: which images you own, which you've marked as your "best", and how each has performed. Every account sees only its own data — full per-user isolation. Your ledger is yours.
Multiple exhibitions in one place
Both trackers keep hundreds of exhibitions and thousands of individual acceptances comfortably. No per-user limits.
International-salon-friendly
The FIAP dashboard supports the full country list, salon auto-fill in every FIAP-registered language, and exports in the format international distinction applications expect. Whether you're chasing NFIAP, AFIAP, or working towards a Diamond level, the ledger scales with you.
Cost
